Testing and Assessment FAQs
Required State Assessments
What you need to know!
High school students are required to participate in state-mandated academic assessments. Passing the state exams for English/Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science are required to graduate. Failure to attend required assessments may result in the student not meeting graduation requirements, being placed on an intervention plan, or being ineligible for re-enrollment in the future.
State assessments are completed in person at one of our test sites around Washington State. You will be assigned to a Spring Testing Site that is within one hour of your home. Starting in November, you may view and confirm your assigned testing site by clicking the Family Login link at our Testing Portal at https://www.testingnirvana.com/login/index.php and entering your information.
Students who live more than one hour from the nearest testing site may choose to travel to the nearest available testing site, or request that their exams be scheduled with their legal resident school district instead.
To request that you be allowed to complete your Spring Testing at your legal resident school district instead of Insight's testing site, you will need to submit a Spring Testing - Application to test with a local school district. You may email firstname.lastname@example.org for the application link.
Requests to test with the local school district are reviewed until February 28, 2017 and you will be contacted with the final determination.
